A career dedicated to horses and their safety began with breaking quarter horses for racing as a teenager for Jim Anderson before becoming a jockey on the Colorado and Kansas racing circuits. But it was on the Nebraska racing circuit where he truly honed his skills. Spending time as a racing official and an outrider, Jim also worked as a track agent and eventually a dispatcher for Hull & Smith Horse Vans. With each step helping to pave the way, Jim Anderson opened Anderson Horse Transportation in 1995. Based in Ashland, Nebraska, Anderson Horse Transportation offers regular trips throughout the Midwest, Kentucky, Florida, and other areas upon request. Co-sponsored by former members Gene Hull of Hull & Smith Horse Vans and Sid Drexler of Drexler Horse Transportation, Anderson Horse Transportation was accepted into the National Horse Carriers Association in 2001.
