Growing up on his family’s farm in Connecticut, Michael Bateman grew up riding horses - working his way up from local 4-H shows, Pony Club, Equitation, and eventually jumpers, all while riding in the trucks and developing a passion for them as well. Wanting to combine his love of horses and trucks, Michael sought out a job in horse transportation and accepted a position as an attendant at Morrissey’s Horse Pullmans where he looked over the horses while the trucks were in transit. Before long, Michael worked his way up to becoming a driver and getting help and training with his CDL from Mr. Willie Breede! Branching out on his own, Bateman horse vans was founded in 1987 and has grown and today include 3 trucks/trailers and offering coast to coast service.
